Our hotel was one of my favorite parts about our stay in Nantucket. I’ve stayed at other Lark Hotels before and they are always so charming and have impeccable hospitality. What was great about 76 Main is that it’s located a few blocks from downtown Nantucket, making it super easy to walk into town for dinner, shopping and exploring. Every space at 76 Main is decorated to perfection (Lark Hotels always have the best décor!), especially the rooms. I loved the bold navy stripes and nautical touches throughout our room, such a modern take on a classic cottage. I truly had the best sleep I have had in so long thanks to their giant king bed and the softest, crisp white linens. Seriously the best hotel bed ever!
The hotel truly feels like a home, with its cozy living room up front and kitchen in the back that’s always stocked with treats and coffee. 76 Main has an incredible staff that makes an array of pastries and small plates every morning (along with a fully stocked coffee bar!) so that you don’t have to worry about missing breakfast before heading out. They also put out warm chocolate chip cookies during the day and a mixer bar for cocktail hour so that you always have a treat to look forward to! Katie, Sydney and I loved making our own cocktails and sitting on the back porch by the fire pits catching up each night before heading out for dinner. Pure vacation bliss!
By being so close to downtown, we were able to do so much exploring by foot but we also rented a car that we were parked right out front to drive around with. Some of my favorite things to do while on the island were:
Shop Downtown: Downtown Nantucket was a perfect mix of classic Americana brands and local small businesses. Some favorites to shop were Ralph Lauren, The Skinny Dip (they carried my favorite Matchbook Diaries prints!) and one of the local sweatshirt stores where I got my favorite Nantucket sweatshirt!
Visit The Lighthouses: We took a drive out to Sankaty Lighthouse, where we got incredible views of the water and surrounding golf course. It was a super windy day but made for the perfect photo backdrop.
Walk Around ‘Sconsett: Katie and I headed over to ‘Sconsett (about a 15 minute drive from the hotel) for an afternoon to walk the bluff and explore the adorable cottages. Everything seriously felt like straight of a story book and even though they weren’t many flowers in bloom, it was still as picture perfect as I imagined!
Make sure not to miss my other Nantucket guides and thank you again to 76 Main for hosting us! Overall, I cannot recommend enough about staying at 76 Main, or any Lark Hotels property. From the personal touches to incredible staff, they truly make each stay a true vacation!
