TRAVEL GUIDE: MILAN
It’s been a month since my trip to Italy with my girlfriends and excited to finally share my travel guide to Milan! It was my first time in Milan and truly loved the city so much. Full of amazing food, chic cocktail bars and of course, incredible shopping. My friends Gabi and Annabelle had been before and put together. an amazing schedule for us during our stay. Breaking down our three days and favorite things to do, see and eat!
WHERE TO STAY
Since there was four of us, we stayed in an Airbnb and it was the perfect fit for us. Located in the center of the city, we were able to easily walk places and get Uber’s (which can be tricky in Milan). Only downside was no elevator but we managed to carry our huge suitcases up and down!

WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK
Panini De Santis
Our first meal upon arrival was panini’s and Negroni’s at this tiny panini shop and I think it may be one of my top meals of the trip still. There’s only a few tables but they make some of the best panini’s and drinks we had the entire trip. Our favorites were the Ronny and Capriccio!
Marchesi 1824
Of course the second meal in Italy should be gelato so we stopped in the famous Marchesi 1824, which is one of the oldest confectionery’s. Along with incredible gelato from their adorable cart out front, the store has incredible candies, pastries and a bar as well.
Antica Trattoria Della Pesa
Our first dinner in Milan had the local charm thanks to antique furnishings filling the space and of course, classic Milanese dishes. Another top dish of the trip was ossobuco with saffron risotto which is Milan is known for.
Broletto Cafe
I love finding local cafes when traveling and this local spot was near our Airbnb and perfect to sit and enjoy a cappuccino and pastry at in the morning.
Da Zero
Pizza was next on our list and Da Zero’s location near all the shopping was the perfect refuel (along with a bottle of red wine!).
Bulgari Hotel Bar
My love language while traveling is trying different hotel bar’s and the Bulgari Hotel Bar is a must to visit. So chic and the perfect place to people watch with a gorgeous cocktail in hand.
Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone
One of the prettiest spots we dined at, this restaurant had some of the best pasta and dishes. Best of all, we sat outside in their gorgeous courtyard and found the best tiramisu of the trip. Life changing!
Rita
For late night cocktails, we headed to Rita and had the best night sitting at the bar. The bartenders were so fun and made some incredible cocktails in this cozy bar.
Bar Luce
The Instagram famous cafe from Wes Anderson lives up to the hype thanks to it’s pastel decor and gorgeous pastries. Located on the grounds of Fondazione Prada, we grabbed breakfast and coffees here before heading into the museum.
La Proscuitteria
Located in the Navigli neighborhood, we grabbed lunch at this cute restaurant located along the river. Perfect spot to grab paninis and a charcuterie board before or after exploring the neighborhood.
Mag Cafe
Also located in the Navigli neighborhood, this famous cocktail bar was the ideal spot for apertivo hour. The bar is snug and has an old-timey hangout feel featuring a large list of inventive cocktails, plus coffee & snacks.
Avgvsto Premiata Gelateria
We had lots of gelato during our trip and this spot was our favorite that we grabbed while walking around town.
Giacomo Bistrot
And I saved the best for last. Our last dinner in Milan was one of the best meals I’ve ever had thanks to their insane dishes and amazing service. We then moved to the bar after dinner where we had so much fun trying their gorgeous cocktails.

WHAT TO DO
Shop!
You can’t go to Milan without some shopping, especially right now! We spent a whole day shopping and browsing in Milan and it was so fun to make some special purchases there.
See The Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanule
We didn’t go into The Duomo but explored the area and was able to take some photos as well as explore the Galleria Vittorio Emanule nearby, which is fun to shop and explore around as well.
Visit Fondazione Prada
If you’re looking for a morning or afternoon at a museum, head to Fondazione Prada. This modern art museum is a little further outside town and features some very unique exhibits but it’s gorgeous buildings and Bar Luce nearby make for a great activity when you’re done with shopping.
