It’s been a whirlwind month of travel and I’m excited to share more from my trip last week to Anguilla! This was my first visit and will definitely not be my last! Sharing all of the details of this beautiful island and tomorrow, my packing list too for all your tropical beach needs!
TRAVEL GUIDE: ANGUILLA

WHERE TO STAY
My friend Gabrielle has been going to Malliouhana for years now so it felt like a dream to stay here finally after hearing her stories. From the moment you arrive, you are treated with the best experience. From the rum punch upon arrival to the kind staff, the entire resort is incredible.
It’s a small resort that never feels crowded so you are truly treated with the best service. The resort has two pools with cabanas, a spa and incredible beaches to lay out by the water. Along with three restaurants, there is no need to ever leave! The three of us shared one room that felt super spacious still with two queen beds, a large bathroom with tub and shower and also a small balcony with ocean views.
We had the best girls trip as we truly got to relax but also there were many couples there on their honeymoons so would highly recommend for a beach getaway. Along with the rooms, there are also private villas to rent for larger groups or those looking to really splurge!
This was a trip we completely paid for and definitely a splurge but everything we did was worth it. It’s one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, along with the most incredible staff, so could not recommend more as a special trip.
HOW TO GET THERE
We flew from JFK to St. Marten (about four hours), and then took a quick 30 minute boat to Anguilla. From there, another 15 minute cab ride brought us to the resort! You did need a Covid test to come into both St. Marten and Anguilla, as well as fill out a few forms upon arrival.
WHAT TO DO
The number one thing to do while here is RELAX! We slept a ton and then spent our time either in the ocean or in the pool, reading, eating and drinking in between! This is the place to take a true vacation at!

WHERE TO EAT AND DRINK
Blanchard’s Beach Shack
Anguilla has the most incredible seafood and the first stop should be at Blanchard’s Beach Shack. We had lunch here three days in a row and it gets better and better. A short walk from the hotel located right on the beach, come here for peel and eat shrimp, their famous mahi mahi BLT and of course their cocktails. An absolute must when on the island!
Celeste
One of the best parts of staying at Malliouhana is you really don’t need to leave! Their main restaurant Celeste has incredible dishes (our favorite was the seafood linguine!) that you can enjoy on their deck looking out on the water. The dreamiest!
Bar Soleil
The hotel’s more casual restaurant and menu we ordered from at lunch is also packed full of flavorful dishes. Our favorite was their shrimp pita and also their Campari Passion cocktail!
Leon’s at Mead’s Bay
Malliouhana also has their own beach restaurant located a short walk from the main resort. With fancy hot dogs, more seafood and sushi, this is a fun spot to head to at night thanks to the live music and more casual beach vibes.
Straw Hat
Our one longer venture was to another island favorite, Straw Hat. About a 30 minute walk from the hotel, this is another favorite located right on the beach. Come here for classic cocktails and the best lobster I’ve ever had!
