Today I turn 29 and what a week to celebrate a birthday. While I hope today will end with one of the best birthday gifts (a new President!), it’s wild to look back at how much has changed in one year.
When I wrote my thoughts about my 28th birthday last year, I talked about how it had been a stressful year trying to balance it all. Truthfully, I was burnt out. I was struggling trying to be the best employee, daughter, friend, sister and blogger and it felt like there was never enough time in the day.
What I didn’t know is how quickly things would change in March when COVID hit. This lead to me losing my job and taking the leap to start my own business, staying home and truly learning how to slow down. It allowed me to spend a summer at home with my family, to take more time for myself and to build a business that I love. To me, this has been a year of pure gratitude during a horrible time in our world for how lucky I am for my health, a safe home and the support of my family, friends, followers and clients.
As I enter into my last year of my twenties (!!!), my goal is to continue to strive to be a positive person that my loved ones and you as my followers can turn to. It’s not always easy (especially this past week), but I truly believe when you put love into the world, only good things can happen.
Thank you again for all the love and support this past year. Let’s do this 29!
