I’ve shared before my love for all things Nancy Meyers, especially when it comes to “The Parent Trap.” So when Carly texted me with her brilliant beyond brilliant idea to dress as Hallie and Annie for Halloween it was an immediate yes!
Carly and I met almost five years ago when I first moved to NYC at a blogger event, where we quickly connected over of course our shared name (and monogram!) and our similar interests. We also have managed multiple times to show up at events dressed almost exactly alike without even planning out so playing twins for the morning wasn’t too hard!
With 90s fashion being so on trend right now, we didn’t have to search hard to find some of their iconic looks! For my Hallie look, it was all about the oversized denim jacket, plaid shorts (found the almost identical pair on Poshmark for $10!) and of course, that iconic yellow duffle bag that she arrives to camp with. For Annie’s posh London look, Carly found the perfect tweed suit and cap toe heels for her ladylike outfit.
We also couldn’t resist just doing one of the movie looks so it was a no brainer to do their oversized oxford shirts and headbands outfit from the hotel scene. A Ralph Lauren shirt never goes out of style so we pulled these out of our closet, along with jeans and white sneakers to be in true twin fashion!
So most importantly, are you more of a Hallie or an Annie?! Happy Halloween!
