Black Sheep Sweater c/o Cherry Hill Boutique, Everlane Jeans (similar), Gucci Mules, Chanel Bag, Le Specs Sunglasses
Today I’m bringing my Royal family obsession to the streets with some Princess Diana style! I’m putting my spin on this sweater Princess Diana made famous and also excited to share where you can get it as well! A few other retailers have made remakes of it the past few years but at almost $300, I was always turned away. However, my mom’s store Cherry Hill Boutique in Traverse City, Michigan just started carrying this version for the fall and I couldn’t be more obsessed! At only $118, it’s made in Canada and 100% cotton so it’s super cozy but not too hot which is important for sunny fall days. Sharing my tips on how to style it below and excited to hear if any of you pick it up too!
PRINCESS DIANA STYLE: THE BLACK SHEEP SWEATER

The Inspiration
Princess Diana wore this infamous sweater a few times in the early 80s. First, at a polo match in 1980 and then again in 1983, two years after her wedding. At only 21 years old, we now know that Diana felt like a “black sheep” during her time in the Royal family and she let her fashion do the talking. Diana styled it with oversized collars and gold jewelry, dressing it up a little more for a day of polo.
How To Style It Today
To wear this campy sweater today, I stuck with black distressed jeans and classic staples, such as my Gucci mules and Chanel bag. I couldn’t resist a matching red lip too! I also would love to style it with a flouncy mini skirt and leather jacket for a cozy evening look.

Carly, too bad your Mom’s store doesn’t ship to Canada as I would love to order this adorable sweater….and of course the irony…a ‘Canadian’ can’t purchase a sweater that is made in Canada….
Hi Marline! Would love to find a way to ship to you! Can you please email me at carlyahill16@gmail.com with your address and size and we’ll take a look, thanks!
