NYC Pizza Guide

It’s hard to be picky when it comes to a meal as delicious as pizza—but in New York City, it’s also hard to resist ranking all the unique options available. Today, I’m sharing my ultimate hit-list when finding the perfect slice of NYC pizza.

Pizza Beach
With its surf-shop décor and wood oven-fired pizzas, this Upper East Side restaurant will make you feel like you’re on a California vacation!
My pizza pick: The seasonal specials, like those made with summer squash or roasted peaches.

Emmy Squared
When I’m craving square pizza (a Michigan favorite), I head to Williamsburg for this Detroit-style pizza. It’s the most delicious balance of crispy crust on the edge and fluffy in the inside, and always worth the wait!
My pizza pick: The margarita pizza that’s topped  with heaps of fresh burrata. 

Gemma at The Bowery Hotel
One of my all-time favorite restaurants in the city! It’s hard to resist ordering this incredible pizza when dining at this celebrity-frequented hotel.
My pizza pick: The prosciutto-arugula pizza + a glass of white wine = the perfect Friday night meal.

Rubirosa
New Yorkers love this NoLita spot for its large pizzas with thin-yet-fluffy crust.
My pizza pick: The renowned Tie-Dye pizza, a mouthwatering combo of vodka sauce, tomato, pesto and fresh mozzarella.

Roberta’s
Slices from this Brooklyn favorite can also be found around NYC’s food markets during the warmer months (check out Mad. Sq. Eats). You can’t pass up this made-to-order pizza.
My pizza pick: The Bee Sting pizza—a perfect mix of sweet, salty and spicy toppings (mozzarella, soppressata slices and a honey drizzle).

Joe’s Pizza
When you’re looking to grab a quick bite, nothing beats a huge NYC-style slice from Joe’s.
My pizza pick: One large slice of classic cheese pizza, please!

Adrienne’s Pizzabar
If you’re heading downtown, stop by Adrienne’s on Stone Street in the Financial District to enjoy huge square-shaped slices and outdoor dining. I’m so excited to make this my new neighborhood spot!
