There’s nothing more dreamy in NYC than a gorgeous summer night and dining at one of your favorite restaurants is there? I have been receiving so many DM’s and emails about wanting to know my favorite outdoor dining and drinking spots in NYC that I couldn’t wait to share my list of go-to favorites! Scroll down for my guide to outdoor dining in NYC!
I partnered with Talbots to share what spots are on my summer bucket list and would love to hear what’s on yours too!
OUTDOOR DINING IN NYC: THE BEST SPOTS
The ideal spot for celeb watching, this is a classic NYC spot for summer dining. Located in Soho, come here for old school Italian, including my favorite dish their Pappardelle Alla Fiesolana (included in my pasta guide!), which is flat, large, homemade pasta with smoked bacon, cream, tomatoes & parmigiano.
I recently tried this taco spot in Williamsburg and it’s such a fun way to spend a Friday night. If you’re in Manhattan, take the ferry over and a short walk later you’ll be in Domino Park for gorgeous waterside views, tacos and margaritas!
Cowgirl has been one of our go-to’s for years thanks to its perfect West Village people watching. They have one of the best happy hours (and corn dog and frozen margaritas) so plan to grab a table outside and have a cocktail filled afternoon and evening.
I live near the South Street Seaport (more Fidi favorites here!) and feeling very lucky to live near this new summer mecca! Pier 17 not only has outdoor concerts and movies on their roof, but also has some incredible bars and restaurants. R17 rooftop has incredible views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the new Jean-Georges restaurant, The Fulton, is a seafood lovers dream!
A favorite West Village spot, try to grab a table for some outdoor dining and one of their famous Negroinis on a summer evening.
For a fun day activity, head over to Governor’s Island by taking the ferry and plan for an afternoon of oysters, lobster rolls and cocktails! While the service isn’t the best, the views and lots of space make up for it so plan to have a leisurely afternoon if coming here.
If you make it over to Rockaway Beach this summer, it isn’t a visit to the beach without a stop at Tacoway. The BEST tacos in all of New York, this cash-only surfside taco stop is what I crave all summer long!
A perfect date night spot, Charlie Bird has some great outdoor seating, perfect to sip on dirty martinis and enjoy their famous cacio e pepe.
This new Thai spot on the LES has the dreamiest patio setup to escape the city with. Went here last summer and it was amazing!
The name couldn’t be more perfect for a summer rooftop night right? This new hotel bar in Williamsburg is part of the chic Hoxton Hotel and looks like the ideal spot for some day drinking and city views.
Another Williamsburg rooftop bar with an adorable name, this new spot is atop of the Wythe Hotel and serves colorful cocktails and dishes with great views.
