As we enter into March, I’ve been looking back at the goals I set at the start of the year and my progress. One of the ones I’ve been proud of has been my new morning routine. While I’ve had some off weeks due to travel and such, there are lots of new steps that I’ve been practicing and helping me feel my best. Breaking down my routine below and how I’ve been feeling since starting.
MY NEW MORNING ROUTINE:
1. Wake Up The Same Time Everyday
I’ve been known to snooze my alarm a few times in the AM but since getting Oscar last year, he’s helped keep me on a more consistent rise time. I’ve
2. Write In My Gratitude Journal
One of my newer steps is writing in my Five Minute Journal. I have the app on my phone and it’s an easy way to start each day with a positive attitude and remind me how grateful I really am.
3. Take My Vitamins and Supplements
I started a membership with Parsley Health last year to help me get a holistic and thorough look at my health. Along with some other great insights and tips, one of the biggest ones was them giving me a vitamin and supplement plan. Some of the ones I take to start my morning now are collagen peptides that I add to my coffee as well as the Sakara chlorophyll drops to my water.
4. Breakfast Before Coffee
The biggest change I have made is focusing on having breakfast each morning, especially before my coffee. I used to be someone who skipped breakfast and would just go straight to coffee when I woke up. That would lead to me crashing in the afternoon and overall, not feeling my best everyday. My favorite breakfast currently is Greek yogurt with blueberries and chia seeds or a smoothie.
5. Skincare and Gua-Sha
With my sister’s wedding in June, I’ve been super focused on my skin routine as well. I’ve always had a good one in place but now I’m making sure to spend a few minutes in the morning using my gua sha and ice roller to help with swelling and sculpting.
6. Get Moving
My last part of my routine before sitting down at my desk is to get moving. Whether that’s a morning workout class, a morning walk around the neighborhood or even just some stretching, getting some movement in the morning makes such a difference in my mood and body.
