Barbour Jacket (c/o), Barbour Sweater (c/o), Barbour Scarf (c/o), Good American Jeans, Gucci Loafers
This week begins the craziness of holiday travel season! I’m so excited to head back to Michigan starting on Wednesday and have a few days of relaxation and family time. While I have my Turkey Day outfit picked out already, one of the things I always seem to stress about is what to wear while traveling. Since I’m heading to the airport from work, I want to be in pieces that are both appropriate for the office and comfortable enough for the plane. Today, I wanted to share my 5 key pieces for a comfortable travel day and easy packing.
- An all-weather jacket: With different weather climates, going in and outdoors, choosing a jacket that’s warm enough (but won’t have you dripping in sweat!) is key for travel. For me that jacket is the Barbour Beadnell Waxed Cotton Jacket. I can’t believe I waited this long to finally get one and it has become a game changer in my closet. It’s the perfect weight to travel in, and works for whatever weather you may be heading to. If you don’t own one already, I highly suggest adding this classic to your Christmas list!

I love the crew neck and cozy fit of this one from Barbour and plan on wearing it during the week with also my leather leggings and a suede skirt.

- Plaid scarf: For chilly plane and car rides, I always make sure to pack a scarf to double as a blanket while traveling. This Barbour cashmere scarf mixes and matches with all the other sweaters and shirts I have packed in my bag, and plaid is always perfect for the holiday season!

- Jeans with stretch: I raved about these jeans before, but there are really going to be the winners this holiday season for traveling. While I love leggings, I like to wear pieces I can wear again during the week while traveling to help keep my suitcase light. With their high-waist fit and incredible stretch, you’ll be able to leave your leggings at home!

- Easy slip on/off shoes: There’s nothing more annoying than trying to re-tie your shoes or zip up boots in the security line at the airport. I rely on comfortable shoes I can slip on and off, like my Gucci Loafers. While a splurge, they have been my favorite shoes to wear this fall, but I’ve shared some other lookalike favorites (still obsessed with these that I got last year!) for easy travel!
