This past weekend, as part of my partnership with Aperol, I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Montauk with Lauren, Krista, Grace, Nathan, Alexandra and all our friends. It was the most relaxing and fun weekend filled with lots of delicious food and of course, Aperol Spritzes. As one of the top vacation spots here on the East Coast, I wanted to share my weekend travel guide to Montauk with you all!

WHERE TO STAY + WHAT TO DO
Sole East: I can’t say enough about how great our hotel was. This small resort is decorated in the perfect beach décor, with surfer prints on the wall and lots of white linens and felt super cozy. My favorite part though is the secluded backyard filled with hydrangeas, a fire pit, hammocks and of course, a refreshing pool we spent all day Sunday in.
The hotel also provides bikes so bike into town (only about 10 min away) so you can stroll around downtown, explore local favorites and then head to the beach.
WHERE TO EAT
BREAKFAST
Montauk Bake Shoppe: After a long night out, Katie and I were so happy to find this local favorite for delicious breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Known for their croissants, it was the perfect hangover cure. Don’t be scared of the long lines – it moves quickly and worth the wait!
Happy Bowls: If you’re craving something healthy, head to this acai bowl spot to grab breakfast. We brought ours down to the beach and it was the ideal way to start the day with the waves crashing!
Left Hand Coffee: An iced coffee and the beach go hand in hand, so make sure to stop at this coffee shop right in downtown before you head down to the sand.
LUNCH AND DINNER
The Surf Lodge: We kicked off the weekend here and it was such a fun place to spend the night with our large group. The dishes are ideal for sharing and passing, and after dinner we hung out by the bar to enjoy the live music. Bonus: Had a very Gossip Girl moment with Chace Crawford sitting right next to us at dinner so that made the night alone!
Navy Beach: If you want to spend some time right on the water, head to this scenic nautical spot. We were able to sit under shaded tables and have incredible lobster rolls and parm fries while watching the boats drive by.
EMP Summer House: The most incredible meal of my life. All the plates were super fresh and had gourmet twists to classic summer dishes. Our favorites? The zucchini chips, parker house rolls, poached lobster and linguine with clams. The cocktails and desserts though I think were the winners for me (get the peach cobbler!). If you’re not able to get a reservation, stop in for a drink and head out back to enjoy the yard games or sit around the fire before the summer is over.
Scarpetta Beach: For a full Italian feast, Scarpetta Beach is the place to go. Located inside the gorgeous Gurney’s Resort, we had some incredible pasta dishes here while looking over the ocean and the famous yellow and white striped umbrellas on the beach.
Lobster Roll: We unfortunately ran out of time to stop here, but I’ve heard so many amazing things about this seafood spot. Also, if you’re a fan of Showtime’s “The Affair,” this is the same spot featured on the show!
Thank you again to the Aperol team for spoiling us all weekend long!
