Spring always feels like such a fresh restart but this year couldn’t be more different feeling with us inside during quarantine. To help bring the fresh spring vibes inside this year, I’m sharing some easy tips and spring decor items that can you help you do just that!
4 Ways To Bring Spring Inside:
FILL YOUR HOME WITH FLOWERS
Whether you choose real or faux, the easiest way to bring the outdoors inside is with flowers! I love supporting our local bodegas and picking up fresh flowers each week but this is also a great time to support flower shops that are still able to send, like Popup Florist or UrbanStems! For those who kill plants and flowers quickly, there’s so many great options of faux plants that still bring spring inside!
SWAP OUT YOUR CANDLES FOR SPRING SCENTS
I’m a strong believer in scents being able to transform a space or event so when it comes to my apartment during the spring, I make sure I’m putting away the more smoky scents and using candles with floral and fresh air scents. My current favorites are Kerzon’s Place Des Vosges Candle and Diptyque’s Gardenia and Feuille de Lavande. I also love using my Vitruvi Oil Diffuser with eucalyptus and lavender oil to fill up the apartment with clean and relaxing scents during the day.
COOK AND BAKE SEASONAL DISHES
I love playing up the fresh ingredients of the season in my cooking and baking to really make it feel like spring. Some current favorites have been Half-Baked Harvest’s Lemon Poppy Seed Cake with Citrus Honey Glaze, The Defined Dish’s Skillet Lemon and Dill Chicken and Spring Mac and Cheese from What’s Gaby Cooking. I also love using fun spring dishes and serving platters too when entertaining or just for your dinner at home!
CHANGE OUT YOUR DECOR FOR SOFT COLORS AND LIGHTER FABRICS
It’s time to put away faux fur blankets, flannel sheets and heavy throws and break out soft and airy fabrics to relax with. Easy fixes can be swapping out throw pillows with pastel colors, adding colorful vases around the home and putting soft cotton sheets on your bed to help you feel relaxed and zen.
