H&M Mini Skirt: How To Wear Two Ways

There always seems to be a piece each year that I immediately know is going to be a staple of mine and this year, it’s this cream H&M mini. The perfect amount of pleats, high waist and under $50 price tag makes it an item every one should have in their closet. The fabric is also the perfect weight making it easy to wear now and ideal for when its chillier too. So today it’s all about how to style it now for the last few weeks of summer and how to ease into fall and winter with it as well! WEAR NOW – SUMMER WHITES

I’m all about an all white outfit for summer and I knew that some of my favorite pieces would work perfect with this skirt. Don’t be afraid to mix shades of whites, creams and tans for a very Diane Keaton vibe! This Everlane tee is also a staple I wore in both looks because of how soft it is, but also because it’s a perfect weight to wear even on a hot summer day. I also believe in wearing white all year so break out this look even after Labor Day!

Allie called this my “Badass Blair Waldorf” look when we were shooting and I’ll take it! Headbands are back as we know and I love adding a chic velvet or embellished headband to a simple look to add texture to a simple look. You can never go wrong with classics like a leather jacket and ballet flats, but have fun with more trendy items, like the headband, when wanting to try something out of your comfort zone!
