When it comes to the holiday season, there’s so many things that immediately bring that holiday nostalgia. One of them is my mom’s “Chinese New Years” cookies. These salty sweet candy/cookie hybrid, have been my mom’s signature dessert to make and also give as gifts. So delicious and SO easy to make (no oven time!), today I’m sharing the recipe as part of a Virtual Cookie Exchange with some of favorite blogger friends!
We’re all sharing a mix of recipes from classics to new favorites and overall hope it makes your week extra sweet! And to make it even sweeter, we’ll be helping several of you with your Christmas baking by giving away five Target gift cards to do your ingredient shopping with! Make sure to head to Instagram stories later to find out how you can win one of the five!
To make sure you don’t miss any of the ten recipes in the cookie exchange, each blogger will feature another blogger and their recipe at the bottom of their post. Scroll down to read all about their recipe and then follow the chain to read about everyone’s favorite cookie!

Now it’s time to head over to my blogger friend Jessica of My Style Vita‘s site for her recipe! Jessica and I have known each other for a few years now thanks to my day job too and she shares a great mix of content from fashion and beauty to lifestyle and travel (and of course her adorable pup!). Jessica is sharing her recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies and I can’t wait to make them too!
LOVE these cookies! We use to make them as a kid and I completely forgot about them. Thank you for sharing – I will 100% be making these very soon. Thank you for joining in on the exchange this year!

These look so fun! I’ve never had a Chinese new year cookie so I’m pretty excited to try these. Sprinkles are also my weakness! Thanks for sharing such a fun and different recipe.
Wait, these sound SO good and delicious. Such an unexpected list of ingredients! Love how festive they look too.
