12 BEST HALLOWEEN COCKTAILS

1. Witch’s Heart
Recipe via The Flavor Bender
I’m obsessed with the spooky purple color of this festive Halloween cocktail! Grenadine and blackberries are the star of this vodka based cocktail. Edible luster dust adds a bit of shimmer to this drink.

2. Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini
Recipe via Nyssa’s Kitchen
I had to include this twist on the classic espresso martini. It’s made with real pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice to make a delicious, creamy pumpkin spice cocktail. These are sure to be a crowd pleaser!

3. Black Magic Halloween Sangria
Recipe via The Forked Spoon
Red wine, vodka, raspberry liqueur, apple cider, and lemon juice combine to make this red sangria. I love that you can batch make this drink and customize it to your liking. Perfect for a halloween party!

4. Candy Corn Martini
Recipe via Savored Sips
This recipe calls for a little DIY moment — you’ll need to infuse your vodka with candy corn ahead of time but I think the final product is worth it! Grenadine, pineapple juice, and whipped cream create the colorful layers to this drink. Garnish with some candy corns for extra flair! These would be so fun for a girl’s Halloween movie night (check out my list of Halloween movies to watch with friends!)

5. Dracula’s Kiss
Recipe via Noshing with the Nolands
I love the look of this spooky elixir featuring vodka, cranberry juice, black cherry juice, and grenadine. I’m obsessed with the blood droplet rim which is made from corn syrup, food coloring, and black cherry juice — it’s such a fun detail for a halloween cocktail.

6. Jack O’Lantern Cocktail
Recipe via The Spruce Eats
This is a simple recipe for a Halloween drink and only requires a handful of ingredients including brandy, orange juice, cognac, and ginger ale! A lime twist in the center of an orange wheel creates the cute pumpkin topper.

7. Hocus Pocus Punch
Recipe via How Sweet Eats
While this apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, and ginger beer punch is technically a mocktail (great for a kid’s party!), you could easily sub in your liquor of choice (like an apple brandy!) to kick things up a notch.

8. Poison Apple Cocktail
Recipe via The Seaside Baker
Okay how fun is this color? This electric green cocktail is the perfect balance of sweet and sour and can even be mixed up in a large batch for a party. All you need is apple vodka, apple schnapps, and sour apple mix. For extra drama (and a fun party trick) a little dry ice makes the presentation of this cocktail extra spooky.

9. The Vampire’s Kiss
Recipe via A Couple Cooks
This bright red cocktail features one of my favorite liqueurs — Chambord! There are lots of variations on this drink, including topping with champagne for some bubbles.

10. Hocus Pocus Old Fashioned
Recipe via Half Baked Harvest
This is the perfect cozy cocktail for chilly winter nights! Homemade spiced rosemary and honey simple syrup (sounds heavenly) mixed with bourbon, lemon, apple butter, and orange bitters makes for a festive twist on a classic cocktail. And how fun is the brown sugar rim? You could also mix these up for Thanksgiving at home.

11. Mad Eye Martini
Recipe via The Spruce Eats
While these spooky eyeball garnishes look complicated, they’re actually made up of a lychee, red jam, and a blueberry! So creative! Plus the Hpnotiq, lychee juice, and vodka cocktail sounds delicious.

12. Halloween Party Punch
Recipe via Tasty
Okay I had to share this Halloween punch recipe because of the super creative ice cubes! Fill plastic gloves with water, knot the openings, and then freeze them in a tray overnight. The next day, remove the gloves from the freezer and run them under water for 15 seconds. Use scissors to cut off the plastic gloves and voila! This would be so great for a big punch bowl.
How To Make Halloween Cocktails Spooky
I think fun trinkets and garnishes are the best way to make Halloween cocktails spooky. This could involve garnishing with plastic spiders or eyeballs; using sticky marshmallow strands to create a spiderweb on top of serving glasses; having fun with faux “blood bags” or syringes for serving drinks; and of course — dry ice!
Using Dry Ice for Halloween Cocktails
If you want to use dry ice in (or around) your Halloween cocktails, I recommend using it for batch cocktails (perhaps a large cauldron or pumpkin serving bowl). This creates a stellar center piece at any party, and also prevents pieces of it from ending up in everyone’s drink. Dry ice can burn you so your guest shouldn’t drink it, and you shouldn’t handle it with bare hands! Also, because as dry ice “melts” it turns into carbon dioxide, make sure you have a window open to encourage ventilation!
