The Best Bachelorette Party Destinations in the US (+ Where to Stay)

Bachelorette party season is here! I’ve become quite the pro at planning bachelorette parties these past few years and always love sharing my tips for a fun weekend. From bachelorette themes to bachelorette party gifts to what to wear, there are a lot of factors to think of but the first (and most important) one is where to have it. Whether you’re the maid of honor deep in the planning trenches or the bride with a vision, choosing the right destination sets the whole tone — so today I’m breaking down the best cities for a bachelorette party in the US, plus my tips on where to stay in each one.

BEST CITIES FOR BACHELORETTE PARTY
CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA
Charleston has quickly become one of the best cities for a bachelorette party these past few years and there are good reasons why. Close to the beach, amazing shopping and restaurants and lots of activities for large groups. I would recommend choosing Charleston for the bride who wants the classic bachelorette weekend!
My favorite things to plan for are a beach day, dinner and drinks at a restaurant downtown (I love Basic Kitchen, Darling Oyster Bar and Leon’s for big groups) and then a night out with live music. I had so much planning my sister’s bachelorette weekend here!
Where To Stay FOR A Charleston BACHELORETTE PARTY
While you can stay in downtown Charleston, you’ll get a lot more space (and beach time) if you stay in the surrounding areas. The first bachelorette I attended in Charleston we stayed on Isle of Palms, which is about a thirty minute drive from downtown. Another great location is Kiawah Island, which is about 45 min away from downtown but will get you lots of space, big houses, and gorgeous beaches. I’m a huge fan of VRBO for renting properties if your group is too large for a hotel.

miami, florida
Miami is one of those bachelorette party destinations that truly has it all. Year-round sunshine, beautiful white sand beaches, incredible food and a nightlife scene that’s hard to beat. I got to celebrate my cousin here and it was such a fun, full weekend! I’d recommend Miami for the bride who wants a little bit of everything: beach days, great restaurants and a fabulous night out.
My ideal Miami bachelorette itinerary starts with a boat day to see the city from the water, a big night out with dinner at Seaspice followed by a late night at Kiki on the River, drag brunch at the iconic Palace Bar on South Beach and an afternoon pool party at Strawberry Moon at The Goodtime Hotel. Sunday recovery in the Design District with lunch at Mandolin Aegean Bistro is the perfect way to wrap it all up!
Where To Stay For a Miami Bachelorette Weekend
For large groups, a house rental is the way to go in Miami. Look for homes near the Design District — you’ll get the space your group needs while still being walking distance to great shops, restaurants and coffee shops. I have a full Miami bachelorette party guide with all my recommendations if you want to dive deeper!

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA
Palm Springs is one of my favorite cities to visit anytime of year but it’s especially great for the bride who is looking for somewhere hot and colorful! Head to the desert for a weekend of vintage shopping, pool time, a drag show and lots of Mexican food.
Where To Stay FOR A Palm Springs BACHELORETTE WEEKEND
One of the best parts of staying in Palm Springs is the incredible homes you can spend the weekend at. From mid-century homes to decked out modern motels, the options are endless for large groups on sites like Airbnb and VRBO. I also love that Palm Springs has a huge selection of adorable boutique hotels! (If you do rent a house, I always recommend checking are the noise ordinances.)

AUSTIN, TEXAS
Everything is bigger in Texas and that includes a bachelorette party in Austin! For the bride with lots of friends, you can expect to get lots of space with the house rentals here. Come to Austin for a lake day, great food and drink (all the TexMex!) and bar crawls.
Where To Stay In Austin FOR A BACHELORETTE PARTY
Austin is spread out, so picking the right neighborhood makes a big difference for your group! If you want to be in the heart of the action, East Austin is my top pick — it’s packed with trendy bars, coffee shops and restaurants that are perfect for a bachelorette crew. South Congress (SoCo) is another great option if you want that iconic Austin charm with boutique shopping and amazing food right outside your door. For the group that wants more space and a lake day built right into the itinerary, look no further than Lake Travis — the waterfront homes out there are absolutely stunning.

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN
I never would have thought my hometown would be become one of the best cities for a bachelorette party, but I do understand why! For a fall bride, Traverse City is an amazing summer destination (especially for those in the Midwest!). I share lots of guides on my favorite places and things to do but make sure to plan for a boat day, winery tour and a hike at Sleeping Bear! I suggest leaning heavily into a cherry theme for a Traverse City bachelorette.
Where To Stay In Traverse City FOR A BACHELORETTE TRIP
No matter where you are in Traverse City, you’re never far from the water. Choose a lake house to enjoy for the summer weekend or pick a home near the wineries or downtown for easy exploring.

30A, FLORIDA
30A has always been a special place to me and my family (it’s also where my best friend and I threw our 30th birthday weekend) and it’s also one of my favorite bachelorette party destinations for the bride who wants a coastal grandmother-style weekend. Think morning coffee walks on the white sand beaches, shopping in the charming downtowns and seafood boils at home.
Where To Stay In 30A FOR A BACHELORETTE TRIP
30A is actually a stretch of scenic highway with several charming little beach towns along it, so it helps to know which area fits your group’s vibe! Seaside is the most iconic — it’s the quintessential pastel beach town with walkable shops and restaurants that feels like a movie set. Alys Beach is one of the most stunning spots along the whole stretch, with its signature white architecture and ultra-luxe feel; perfect for the bride who wants something really special. Rosemary Beach is a great pick if your group wants something a little more elevated and quieter, while Watercolor is perfect for a laid-back weekend with gorgeous gulf views. Wherever you stay, you’ll want to be close enough to bike between the towns. That’s honestly half the fun of a 30A weekend!

BRECKENRIDGE, COLORADO
Who says all bachelorette parties have to be warm weather?! An après ski bachelorette would be so fun and the ideal place is Breckenridge! Plan a day on the slopes, lunch at the top of the mountain and warming up in the hot tub with the gals after.
Where To Stay FOR A Breckenridge BACHELORETTE WEEKEND
Breckenridge is a pretty walkable mountain town, so location really works in your favor here! Downtown Breck is the best spot for a bachelorette group because you’re steps from Main Street’s restaurants, bars and boutiques, which makes après ski so much easier (and more fun!). If ski-in/ski-out access is a priority for your group, look for homes near Peak 8 or Peak 9. For groups that want a little more space and privacy, there are gorgeous luxury lodges just outside of town that still give you easy access to everything but you will need a car!

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA
If your bride has already been to Charleston but wants to visit another great bachelorette party destination, Savannah is the perfect place to celebrate! Come here for incredible southern food, a beach day nearby and incredible antique shopping and historical exploring.
Where To Stay FOR A Savannah BACHELORETTE PARTY
Savannah is one of those cities where where you stay really adds to the experience, so I always recommend booking something right in the Historic District if you can. The streets are dripping in Spanish moss, the architecture is absolutely gorgeous and being walkable to everything makes the whole weekend so much easier for a group. Staying in a historic home or townhouse here is truly part of the charm and you’ll feel like you’re in a movie the entire weekend! If your group is more beach-focused, Tybee Island is about 25 minutes away and has a laid-back, salty air kind of vibe that’s a great contrast to the city.

SEDONA, ARIZONA
One of my favorite girls trip was a visit to Sedona and it would make such a fun bachelorette party spot too. Plan your weekend around hikes in the morning, pool days in the afternoon and lots of margaritas to end the day. Perfect for your bride who’s an early riser!
Where To Stay FOR A SEDONA BACHELORETTE TRIP
Sedona is all about those views, so this is one destination where I’d really encourage you to splurge on the stay! Uptown Sedona is the most central area and puts you within walking distance of the best restaurants, shops and spas, which is great for a group that wants easy access to everything. If waking up to red rock views from your private pool is more the vibe, look for homes in the West Sedona area where you tend to get more space and more dramatic scenery. No matter where you stay, make sure your rental has an outdoor space because watching the sunset over those red rocks with your girls is an absolute must!
No matter which of these bachelorette party cities you choose, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable weekend — now go start planning!
