All this time inside as never been better for my beauty routine I have to admit! While it’s not a time I’m getting glam, it is allowing me to take the time to let my skin, nails and hair breathe and get a little extra TLC. Sharing a few rituals to add to your everyday beauty routine, whether before bed or while answering emails!
Everyday Beauty Routine & Rituals for your Quarantine Days:
At-Home Teeth Whitening:
I always seem to forget to make the time to use my go-to Crest Whitening Strips before bed so I’ve tried using them now in the middle of the day instead as a computer break and to help me stop snacking!
Use A Retinol:
Retinol always scared me because of the peeling that can occur when you first start using it but now with lots of make-up free days ahead and avoiding the sun, this is a great time to give your skin a peel. I started slowly with Skinceuticals Retinol 0.3 and then will increase over time.
Switch To An All Natural Deodorant:
I’ve tried a few natural deodorants in the past but never made a full switch till the past few weeks and have been loving Megababe’s Sunny Pits Daily Deodorant. It smells SO good and I love knowing I’m putting something good on my skin everyday.
Polish-Free Manicures:
For the first time in years, I am keeping both my nails and toes polish free. I can already see such a huge difference in how much healthier they look. For a little shine and strength, I like adding Nails Inc. NAILKALE Superfood Base Coat to give my nails all the nutrients they can get!
Eyelash and Brow Serum:
I’m making sure to focus on giving my brows and lashes a little extra TLC these days too with growth serums. For lashes, I just started neuLASH Lash Enhancing Serum and for my brows I love using RapidBrow Serum to help grow in any spots needing a little more hair.
Dry Brush and Exfoliate:
To keep my skin smooth, I’ve been making sure to dry brush every other night and also exfoliate once or twice a week in the shower with the Necessaire Body Exfoliator.
All The Masks:
Whether for your face, feet or hair, I’ve been using all my favorites from Peter Thomas Roth Eye Gels to Snowfox Sheet Masks. I also love Aveda’s Nutriplenish Leave-In Conditioner for my hair and excited to finally try the infamous Baby Feet Foot Mask for my feet!
Practice Your Blowout Skills:
Even though I’m trying to give my hair a break from heat, it does feel good once a week to give myself a proper blowout with my favorite Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer.
Incorporate CBD Into Your Everyday Routine:
As I’ve shared a ton the last few months ago, I never expected to be so grateful for Equilibria CBD. This is a great time to truly build a daily routine using the products (they work their best that way!), especially with being more stressed out than normal. If you’re interested in trying as well, you can use code CARLYHILL for 15% off your first order.
Foam Roll And Stretch:
I’ve noticed how much more my body aches recently due to sitting on hard surfaces all day and then also workouts on our hard wood floors. I’m making sure to take the time to foam roll and stretch each morning and night to keep my body feeling its best.
Self-Tan:
Anyone else feeling paler than ever?! I’ve been using my Tan-Luxe Face Drops a few days a week to help give my face a little glow and then for my body, using Jergens Natural Glow each night. I’m also going to start doing my favorite St. Tropez once a week to help give my whole body some color for the week!
