A Red, White And Blue Breakfast With Draper James

As most of you know, I love a reason to throw a party and my friend Lauren is the same way. So when Draper James asked us to help style their collaboration with Crate & Barrel, we couldn’t have been more excited to put together a festive party for the Fourth Of July!

We loved the idea of creating a red, white and blue breakfast spread to kick the holiday off with. Before a day of BBQ and beach time, invite friends over for a morning of mimosas and a festive breakfast. It’s such a fun and relaxing way to start the Fourth! We loved how the blue and white floral design on the collection was perfect for a red, white and blue tablescape. We then incorporated in red with bright red fruit like strawberries, watermelon and cherries.

One of the reasons we loved this collection is how its no-fuss thanks to it being plastic and dishwasher safe, which is ideal for outdoor entertaining. To keep things easy, we stacked the plates and made the utensils easy for friends to grab so they can serve themselves.

When it comes to food and drinks, I love putting a special touch to simple items, especially when it comes to food and drinks. An example of this was our red, white and blue fruit salad. By using a mini star cookie cutter to our watermelon, it added a fun festive touch that took no extra time at all! We also served greek yogurt topped with berries, blueberry muffins and berry lemonade mimosas for a colorful morning meal.

Our final touch was incorporating fresh flowers, which is Lauren and I’s number one party planning must. We chose blue and white hydrangeas as they have no scent and don’t throw off the aroma of the food but also of course how well they went with the floral collection!

Along with their entertaining collection, Draper James also has so many cute clothing options for festive Fourth Of July dressing. Lauren’s dress is such an easy nautical dress to dress up or dress down for the beach (plus its under $90!) and I couldn’t say no to this striped fit and flare number.
