Faux Fur Coat, Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater, Red Trousers, Bow Suede Heels all c/o of Talbots
It officially feels like Christmas in the city! From the chillier temps, holiday décor up on all the buildings and Christmas music playing everywhere, nothing beats Christmas in New York City! I partnered with Talbots this holiday season to share not only this chic festive outfit, but also to share about my favorite holiday moments. One of my favorite parts of Christmas is getting dressed up in a festive outfit and going to see all the holiday lights and trees. Every since I was little, it’s been a tradition in my family to go drive around town after a holiday party or seeing a holiday show and see all the lights lit up on everyone’s homes. Now living in NYC, sometimes the most gorgeous decorations are right outside my apartment door!
I love living down in the Financial District because its filled with so much history and everything feels extra special and nostalgic during the holidays. A favorite holiday tree of mine is the New York Stock Exchange Christmas Tree, which is located right on Wall Street. It’s a great one to visit if you’re looking to avoid the craziness of Rockefeller Center and take a lot of photos. It’s such a magical way to walk home every night from the subway with it twinkling on the cobblestone street!
When it comes to holiday dressing, there’s three factors I look for when it comes to picking out the perfect party outfit:
1) Staying warm: A faux fur jacket, like this gorgeous black faux fur, is the ideal jacket for the holiday season because it keeps you both warm, while still being dressy! This one is SO soft and I love the sleek black faux fur that will be a favorite coat all winter long.
2) Sparkle and shine: There’s no better time to break out a little extra sparkle or shine than during the holidays. I chose a classic cashmere turtleneck, but with a holiday twist, thanks to the subtle silver shimmer sewn throughout.
3) Comfortable and chic: Who doesn’t love a red pant during the holidays?! I love the pop of color they brought to this otherwise neutral look but what I loved most is how comfortable they are. Most holiday parties or events for me are after work so finding pieces that I can be comfortable enough in all day is key.
Can’t wait for a season full of holiday festivities and fun!
Thank you so much Talbots for partnering on this post and I would love to know, what are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
