It’s been way too long since I shared an update on new NYC spots I’ve loved around the city. These spots aren’t all necessarily “new” but a first time visit for me. As a reminder, I include all my favorite spots in my highlights on IG as well on my travel guides page.
5 NEW NYC SPOTS TO VISIT:

1. THAI DINER
Uncle Boon’s was one of my favorite restaurants I tried right before the pandemic and sadly they closed in 2020 due to rent. But no fear, their new restaurant Thai Diner is incredible! We went for brunch and had their famous egg sandwich, french toast and disco fries. Dying to go back for dinner!

2. ANTON’S
Anton’s is a great West Village wine bar that offers a great mix of Italian and French favorites. A few years old, I just visited for the first time thanks to their new lunchtime martini special. Originally it was 25 cent martinis and Manhattans (!) but due to some crazy NY liquor law, they had to change it to 1/2 off at $9. Still a great deal, the apps and pastas are amazing and worth a visit!

3. EDITH’S
Edith’s has been a favorite in Williamsburg thanks to their sandwich counter and pop up’s around the neighborhood but I’m so excited they finally opened their eatery and grocery! Perfect place to cozy up on a cold day and try their traditional with a twist Jewish food.

4. TEMPLE BAR
Temple Bar was a city favorite until it closed in 2017 but thankfully they have reopened in their Noho spot and it’s better than ever. This chic downtown bar makes some mean cocktails and has a great playlist.

5. PHILOMENA’S
Another new-ish bar in Williamsburg is Philomena’s and it’s quickly become a favorite spot of our friend group. Super cozy, they make excellent cocktails and the staff is super nice.
Temple Bar looks like a great spot!
My mom and I went to The Wilson for lunch while on vacation (I live near Washington, DC, which has amazing food. Check out Jaleó for Spanish tapas and Mari Vanna for Russian classics) in the city last summer and had their double patty burger. So delicious! It was one of the highlights of our trip! They also have a dog menu which was perfect for my maltipoo who also came along. This place is so good that we are taking family to it on vacation this summer.
