
Anyone else feeling that January slump? The beginning of the year is always such a mix for me of feeling refreshed and inspired but also struggling with beating the winter blues.
Personally, I think the biggest struggle for me is that we start the year making these giant lists of to-do’s and goals, which can feel super overwhelming and stressful. That’s why I put together a list of 25 little things to do to relieve stress and cross off before bed or when you have a few minutes to spare each day. While small, crossing them off your to-do list can feel like such a relief and help start or end your day in a calmer and more positive mindset! 25 THINGS TO DO TO RELIEVE STRESS EACH DAY:
- Make your bed
- Get rid of five things in your closet to give to Goodwill
- Replace your broken phone screen (I always keep these on hand to replace when things are getting rough)
- Give yourself a mani
- Get outside for 20 minutes
- Do a face mask before bed
- Put away the pile of clothes in the corner of your room
- Finally book your doctor appointments for the next few months
- Blow dry your hair before bed so you’re set for the morning
- Delete old photos and texts off your phone
- Organize your inbox for 15 minutes
- Refold the clothes in one of your drawers
- Book your workouts for the following week
- Lay out your outfit for work the night before
- Write thank you notes or cards to friends and family far away
- Make a soup to enjoy all week long (and save you money on lunches for the week!)
- Squeeze in a quick workout
- Reorder any beauty or skincare products you’re low on before they’re gone
- Put away the dishes
- Go through gift cards you have on hand and make a reminder to use them
- Dust and vacuum for 10 minutes before bed
- Drop off the dry cleaning you’ve been meaning to do
- Call your grandma
- Order new organization systems to tackle any messes (I just got these drawers and am obsessed on how much cleaner my room already feels!)
- Burn a new candle and clean out old ones to use for organizing
